The British are eternally known to be
safely-obsessed with hats. It is a staple accessory for every
occasion that would involve socializing and mingling. At certain
times, the hat becomes the priority rather than the dress or the
shoes. For the true-blooded hat aficionados, the clothes, jewelry,
and footwear are based on the hat.
I remember when I was in college, I had a dorm mate who was from
the UK. She invited me to go to London to attend her summer wedding.
Being a student who relies on my parents and a part-time barista, it
took me three months come up with the airfare to travel abroad. She
was dear to me because she did help me when my room was almost robbed
and helped me with my custom essay.
When I arrived at the wedding, I was out of place. The guests were
wearing hats and the only head accessory I had was a pin to tame my
big hair. It was like when I was in college and I feel inferior to my
classmates. I browse Google while it's www.college-paper.org
for them.
Since then, I had religiously followed British events. I, myself
had become mildly obsessed with hats. I had designs that the average
American would frown but the average British would take a second look
at.
The Royal Ascots races is one of those events where everyone pulls
all the stops to wear hats that scream, “look at me!”And I was
not disappointed, the horsed brought out the best and most outrageous
in the attendees.
Take pleasure in these photos and admire their bravery.

Top 3 Novels Worth Reading in College
College life wouldn't be complete without doing your fair share of assignments, projects, thesis, and take-home exams. Kids from the third world countries aren't all given the privilege of going to school and learning new things so education really must be treated as a topmost priority that everyone should enjoy.
Books reports are
standard practices of making students aware that there are hundreds
of books and novels worth to be read and reviewed. Visit your
library and you'll see many novels waiting to be read and enjoyed.
When it comes to the top lists of novels to be read, college students
will have different tastes and preferences. But here's top 3 novels
you may find worth reading.
Washington's Crossing.
An award winning book
written by Mr. David Hackett Fischer, the book was published in 2004
and Fischer's work won the Pulitzer
Prize for History in
2005. It is definitely a big
part of the turning point of the American War for Independence.
Things Fall Apart. Nigerian author Chinua Achebe wrote the first African novel to be written in English that greatly received critical acclaim internationally. Many students who read the book will know the kind of society and customs practiced by the Nigerian tribe and how it was all influenced by the British colonialism and missionaries of Christianity.

A Death in the Family. Written by James Agee, it was one of the best English novels of all time though it was McDowell who further edited and published the book. Readers are taken back to 1915 as Agee narrates the story of his life and that of his father who met an accident during his trip to visit his ailing father.
Monsters Go to School Too: Monster University Trailer
Following the success of Monsters
Inc., Disney Pixar has just released the trailer of its prequel,
Monster University, is main characters Sully and Mike’s college
life before they worked in the scaring factory.
Seeing this movie’s trailer makes me reminiscent of college days. In college, you know that you have a goal, that after three or four years, after seemingly endless research paper writing on the site, after all the exams, recitations, and projects -you will graduate and will have a new life.
Now that I am working, or working to get work, there seems to have no end in sight. It seems that life now is a vicious cycle of sucking the bad things up, of tolerating injustices, and making it day by day.
Watch the movie to know why I suddenly switched to nostalgia mode:

Top K-pop Rappers: Female Edition
Indeed, K-Pop is everywhere. Although most South Korean singers and bands have not yet entered the international music scene fully and became successful like Britney Spears, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, and many more, they may be in a few years or so.
And
since we are talking about the K-Pop phenomenon that's been hitting
some countries all over the world like Japan and Paris, let's
talk about our talented singers and who do we think are the best
female rappers out there. It's
not all about the looks that's
needed in this entertainment industry, you really got to have the
talent to charm the audience. Because if not, the fans would be the
first to criticize you and your performance everytime you do bad.
Onto
our list of the best female K-Pop rappers, CL of 2NE1 made it to our
list. Being the leader of 2NE1, she took the full responsibility of
working with the company for their group's songs, concept, and
everything. Most pop group leaders take this responsibility and CL is
definitely doing a great job. Her
rapping skills are quite good for a female and she can even sing
really well.
Next,
Yubin has recently been busy
promoting their new single
“Like This” with the rest of the girls of Wonder Girls. She
was not in the original line-up of the group but because of Hyuna's
(4Minute) withdrawal from the group, it paved the way for her
inclusion. And now looking at her and her rapping skills, she seems
to be a good replacement.
Bora
of SISTAR is quite good especially with all that dancing and
projection on their stage performances. Possessing a pretty face and
a beautiful body, she could pass as an actress. But as a rapper, she
is doing just great. Watch her rap in most of their songs and you'll
be smitten as well.
And
last but not the least, Sunny Hill's youngest member Kota made it to
our list as a female rappers
who continues to make waves because of their incredible rapping
skills. As one of the lead
vocalist, dancer, and rapper of the group, Kota is simply exceptional
and talented.
There
are far more rappers waiting to be discovered out there. Maybe it's
you so why don't you take a time out from doing paper writing services and test your
rapping skills?

Why I Look Forward to Big Bang's Upcoming Concert?
Big Bang is one of
the most popular and successful South Korean K-Pop boy bands.
Although the group faced criticisms for not reaching the standards of
the usual K-Pop boy bands back then, the group remained unwavering and
continue to perform like any other boy band will do. And at last, Big
Bang scored it big with their hit single “Lies” which remained at
the top of Korean hit charts for weeks and followed by equally hit
songs like “Last Farewell” and “HaruHaru.”
Before, I never
had that much interest with K-Pop and its popular singers. I never
paid attention to SNSD/Girl's Generation, Super Junior, 2NE1, Kara,
4Minute, Miss A, 2PM, and many more. I was always contented with
listening to the songs of Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Boyz II
Men, Brian McKnight, Mariah Carey, and many more.
However, Big Bang
made me notice South Korea and K-Pop. Last year, I was able to go to
the country and discovered many things. It's no wonder that the
country has a booming economy. Everything is in order and the
government is really taking notice and attention to its citizen. If I
could write my essay on South Korea, it would be full of nice
things.
Anyway, back to
the topic as I write my essay here. Here are my reasons why I look
forward to Big Bang's upcoming concert.
- Taeyang is my bias. I guess it means he's my crush in South Korea. I can see how he grooves smoothly and hopefully, he sings his hit single “I Need a Girl.”
- I heard that the members of Big Bang are all nice. It's time to see if it's true.
- My friends are Big Bang fans as well so we're going to have a really nice time.
- GD and Top are really cute guys and it would really be good to see them in person.
- I'm saving money to have front-row seats. There's no way I won't be looking forward to that concert.
And for your
convenience, here are the pictures of the Big Bang members with their
names.

Favorite Korean Boy Band of the Day: SHINee
In my
previous posts, I have been very vocal about my support and love for
K-Pop. However, I still fully support most American singers like
Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, Jessie J., Maroon
5, and many more. But how
can you not love these K-Pop singers and band when they all look cute
and funny at the same time?
Let's
start with one of the fast-rising and established K-Pop boy bands in
South Korea, SHINee. SHINee
or simply Shinee is a
five-member boy band managed by SM Entertainment. The members include
Onew as the leader,
Jonghyun, Key, Minho, and Taemin. Here are the pictures in
order so you can follow.
Don't you just find them adorable?
Anyway,
the group had been training
at SM Entertainment for years before they debuted on
May 25, 2008 with a hit
single “Replay.” Most of
the members were still students
back then but Taemin (the youngest) already graduated
last February 2012. Since their debut in 2008, the group received the
much-needed media attention and even won the adoration of fans for
not just being guys with the looks but guys with the looks
and the talents.
In
various articles and research paper I have read regarding the group, fans all over the world are sure
that the group would attain more success and popularity especially
when they're expanding to Japanese territory. With
hit singles and charming personalities, SHINee can do and achieve
just about everything they want.
Here
are some music videos of SHINee:

Songs for Mothers That Would Definitely Make You Teary-Eyed
Mother's
Day is one of the most celebrated events in the whole world. It's the
special day to give thnaks and honor all the hard work that our
mothers do for the whole family. And it's the counter-part of
Father's Day which is the day that honors fathers all over the world.
Mother's Day is usually
celebrated in these months: March, April, and May.
Because
various countries celebrate this event on different days and
on different months, I made it my mission to compile some of the
songs that celebrates the greatness and unconditional love mothers
give to their children even when they have done something wrong. I
know that because I am always thankful for the never-ending support
my mom has given me all throughout the years.
I had a hard time
on choosing the best songs for Mother's Day but here they are:
Mama by Spice Girls
Spice Girls was considered as one of the most successful girl groups in the history for having billion sales of album, commercials, hit songs, and being the icons of the 80s music scene. Their single “Stop” was their biggest hit and became a dance craze all over the world. The group was almost known for their catcht dance beats but they took their time recording for this song for moms all over the world, “Mama.”
I Turn to You by Christina Aguilera
I
remember when I was as young as Christina Aguilera, I consider her my
idol because of her true
singing prowess. Her single “I Turn to You” ultimately melted the
hearts of teenagers all over the world to be kind from then on to
their loving mothers. The video that accompanies the song (the
girl on the accident site being comforted by her mom) has
an intelligent concept and will really make you cry.
Song for Mama by Boyz II Men
Remember
of the time when all the boy bands were singing cute songs and making
us dance with their catchy songs, Boyz II Men drifted far from that
scene and concentrated with more mellow songs that has big impact to
the fans over-all. “Song for Mama” is one of the constant
favorites when it comes to Mother's
Day songs because of the wonderful meaning it gives that
ultimately touch the hearts of people on-site upon hearing it.
Because You Loved Me by Celine Dion
Celine
Dion reached ultimate
stardom via singing “My Heart will Go on” as the theme song for
the 1997 blockbuster film, Titanic
The Movie. But years later, another one of her songs became
phenomenal as it gives off a feel-good feeling to people who hears
it. “Because You Loved Me” stayed at the number one spot on most
music charts all over the world.
Wind Beneath My Wings by Bette
Midler
If
you haven't heard of or even watched the film “Beaches” then
you're missing half of your life as it is one of the most popular
comedy drama film that showcases the intensity of friendship. It even
inspired the success of
Bette Midler's “Wind Beneath My Wings” which not only targets the
topic of friendship but also that of motherly love.
Here are my top
picks of songs that can make mothers teary-eyed not only because of
the melody but also because of the lyrics. Feel free to add some if
there's something on your mind.
