My Favorite John Cusack Movies

John Cusack was one of the famous actors during the 90's to early 2000. He has this serene quality  in him that made women swoon and men mellow. When you take a look at his movie report card, he actually starred in at least one movie every year, but unfortunately hasn't had a box-office hit. He has been spending most of his time writing and directing films and being a columnist for Huffington Post.  is boyish yet fiery charm make him a flexible actor and a genius behind the camera.

Thank God, he's back via the movie, The Raven. He plays the beloved author, Edgar Allan Poe, who comes across a series of murders that seemingly replicate the murders in his novels. He appears older but definitely wiser in this movie and so as a fan, I deemed it to go back in time and reminisce his performance in the movies that define his career.

Here are my top five movies that John Cusack starred in:

1. Stand By Me (1983)

This is one of the earliest movies that he was in. He played Dennis Lachne, a football player who died and became the inspiration for Gordie, his younger brother and the main character. to look for a missing boy in their town.

2. Fat Men and Little Boy (1986)

He plays a young physicist, Michael Merriman, who get contaminated with a lethal dose of radiation while working on a clandestine government project.

3. Con Air (1997)

He plays a U.S. Marshal who got caught in a plane taken over by convicted criminals. This movie was the ultimate dude movie of that year.

4. Serendipity

His character, Jonathan, is the ultimate love-struck man in this movie. He is an obituary writer for New York Times who falls in love with a girl he only met once. This story makes us believe that destiny will make happen what is supposed to.

Woah, I think I did more than just finishing my research papers for being able to compile all this down to one post. But what can I do, I just love Cusack. What's your favorite John Cusack Movie?

Top 3 K-Pop Female Singers that Resemble Barbie Dolls

It is very evident that most people are turning their attention towards male and female singers coming from South Korea. Signalling the popularity and entry of K-Pop in the international music scene, various bands and singers are making waves and improving their fan database in various parts of the world. Japan is one country that clearly supports artists coming from South Korea as well as Paris when talents from SM Entertainment house did a concert in favor for their foreign fans.

I can't say that I'm saved from being a K-Pop fanatic because the songs are really catchy and their music videos are equally colorful. But one thing I have notuced ever since is that most singers resemble or look a lot like each other.

I even have some difficulties in guessing who's who because they all look a like. Yet one thing is for sure and that is most of these stars try to look like Barbie. Here are my top 3 choices for female singers that somehow resemble Barbie Dolls.

U-ee of After School

A talented actress and a member of a South Korean band, U-ee is known for her honey thighs. She's tall and beautiful, and most of her appearances and magazine covers make her look like Barbie.

IU

The Korean nation's little sister has a beauty that makes all young and old males go crazy. Just look at her innocent beauty and you'll be reminded of the innocent look of Barbie as well.

Yoona

Best remembered as the visual of Girl's Generation/SNSD, Yoona is becoming more and more attractive as the days pass by.

Top 5 Korean Artists I Would Love to Have as My Birthday Guests

In my previous posts, I may or may not have mentioned my instant liking for South Korean singers and actors. I do love them and I may be able to write more posts about my favorite bands and singers as well. But for now, let us talk about the South Korean artists I am happy to have as guests for my birthday. Of course, if this would happen in real life then I’d be totally happy. But for now, I’m just contented with sharing this to all of you and hopefully some of my K-Pop idols would be able to read this.

I've been doing my research on Yahoo, Bing, college-paper.org, and Google, and of all the South Korean artists dominating the T.V. and movie screen, there will be some who has an edge among others. They bring the spice to a sugar-coated television program and bring the comedy when the audience didn’t expect to. See this and you’ll instantly be hooked as well with them.

1. Lee Seung-gi

Lee Seung-gi is one the top of my lists as the Korean star I’d like to be present on my birthday. Because he’s been known as the funny guy, I’m quite sure that he’ll bring all the laughter in my party and will make any woman swoon for his masculinity. I obviously loved his character in “My Girlfriend is a Gumiho.”

2. Jo In Sung or Zo In-sung

With his cute eye smile, he melts the hearts of all the females around him. Once you see him in real life, you can’t just get enough of his manliness and charming personality (that’s what my friend said when she met him).

3. Lee Dong-wook

The charming star of T.V dramas and the lead star in the series “My Girl.” I met him once when he went to eat at this restaurant. Although it was brief, he will charm you with his tantalizing eyes. Yummy!

4. Lee Min Ho

The star born out of his first venture in the acting world through “Boys Over Flowers.” Everywhere he goes, you’re sure to not miss out his beautiful smile and hunk body. Just look at the pictures here and you’ll see why I want him on my birthday.

5. Eun Ji Won

I have been watching him since the 1 night 2 days program series were uploaded on Youtube. Every time I watch him, he becomes more adorable to me. Too bad that he’s married but he’s still welcome on my birthday.

Wondering why it’s mostly males that I wanted to invite, that’s because I have a lot of female friends so it’s time for some males to come at the party.

Songs I Would like to be Played on my Wedding Day

A wedding is definitely one of the most special events an individual could remember in his/her entire lifetime. Just to imagine that you'll be united with the one you love in the eyes of God and in front of the people special to you is enough to send your palpilating. What more if it's going to be a dream come true, right? Forgive me if I'm like this, all talking about wedding, love, marriage, and engagement. I'm just envious but happy at the same time for my sister getting married next month.

Since I'm younger than her and the maid of honor, she made me in-charge of everything. From the wedding invitations to the reservations of the hotel and church and even the honeymoon package, I'm the one who has the responsibility of making everything run smoothly as soon as possible. After doing all the hard work, I kind of thought to myself if when will I meet the One!

I've never actually had that much experience regarding relationships and the only serious one I had was when I was in junior high (I think). But that does't mean that I'm not ready for a new love. It's just that I've been busy with work and things I got to buy now for my family. I guess I'm too family-oriented but that can change now since I came up with a list of the songs I'd like to hear on my wedding day.

  1. Always by Atlantic Starr
  2. Runaway by The Corrs
  3. I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston
  4. Reunited by Peaches and Herb
  5. The Gift by Peabo Bryson
  6. My Heart will Go on by Celine Dion
  7. We've Only Just Begun - The Carpenters
  8. Don't Go Breaking My Heart - Elton John and Kiki Dee
  9. Wonderful Tonight - Eric Clapton
  10. You Make Me Feel Brand New - The Stylistics

These are what I like so far right now but it can change. If you want to add up any other love songs you think is great for a wedding day, please comment.

My Top 3 Korean TV Dramas that should be Made into Movies

It is very evident that K-Pop singers continue to soar high with the entrance of SNSD or Girl’s Generation and Wonder Girls into the international scene. They conquered neighboring countries like Japan, Singapore, and Indonesia with their powerful and catchy songs that it’s not hard to understand why most Americans would too. I can say that I am one of the K-Pop fanatics and been following new singles of my favorite K-pop idols. But that doesn’t mean that I’d forget about Nicki Minaj, Britney Spears, Katy Perry, and others. I still love them and will support them.

Nowadays, I am finding myself quite addicted with downloading and watching South Korean T.V. dramas. And some of my favorites include My Girlfriend is a Gumiho, Boys Over Flowers, City Hunter, and Full House. I’m not yet done watching all of these dramas and there are more to come. Do you want to know what I liked about the dramas? It’s all because of the different but loveable story plots.

I mean, we’re used to having the same story plot for most romantic comedies right? It’s time for a little change and that’s why these are my top 3 T.V. dramas that should be made into movies.

1. My Girlfriend is a Gumiho

We all know that the history of most Asian countries involved mystical creatures like the nine-tailed fox depicted in the storyline. But what’s interesting about the drama is not only because of the amazing actors, it’s the story that sells.

2. Full House

I really love stories that have something to do with celebrities. So if this one is made into a movie, I’m sure this will be a blockbuster. Just check out one scene and you’ll be addicted.

3. Boys Over Flowers

Although I prefer the Taiwanese version of the manga/comic series, I also liked this one. And if the same actors will play the roles, it would be a sure hit.
